Health and Medical Education Department, J&k Directorate of Ayush ,J&K along with J&K Medicinal Plants Board in collaboration with Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research organises one day seminar on "Modern and Traditional Uses of Medicinal Plants found in the UT of J&K on 8th of March 2025 .The event started with words of enlightenment regarding indigenous and traditional medicinal plants knowledge and biodiversity and their various uses by various eminent personalities Prof. Lalit Mohan Gupta,HoD Agro Forestry,SKUAST-Jammu ; Dr Jaffar Hassan Research Fellow,CCRAs,RARI Jammu ;Dr Aftab Iqbal Mir Nodal Officer,Herbal Garden and Nurseries Jammu Division , Dr Puneet Chowdhary Head KVK,SKUAST-Jammu.Dr Nuzhat Bashir Shah Worthy Director Ayush J&k and Chief Executive Officer J&K Medicinal Plants Board ,Dr Suresh Sharma Deputy Director Ayush Jammu, Dr Aruna Bhat Deputy Medical Superintendent Govt Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu ,Dr Vandana Dogra District Ayush Officer and Dr Wahid ul Hassan,Technical Officer J&k Medicinal Plants Board shared their diversified view and their experiences regarding the traditional Medicinal uses of diversified plants and urged to conserve and find ways to promote/cultivate more valuable plants .Later Smt. Suman Sharma ,Chairperson Trikuta Group of Colleges along with other members of SSCT and Dr Nitin Mahajan, Principal JIAR felicitated Worthy Director Ayush Dr Nuzhat Bashir Shah with a token of love and respect for her valuable words of wisdom and encouragement to student and staff members of JIAR.
