WEBINAR on "WORLD PILES DAY" AT JIAR, JAMMU

Jammu Institute Of Ayurveda &Research, Nardini, Raipur, Jammu celebrated “World Piles Day” on 20th November 2020 which included a “webinar on Applied Anatomy of Rectum & Anal canal. The webinar was organised by Post graduate Department of Shalyatantra. The programme commenced with introduction about the Piles day by Dr Sudesh Gupta, Professor & head of the Department said“ suffering from piles or other ano rectal diseases is not only painful but embarrassing as well. Following a proper life style, fibre rich diet, plenty of fluids, avoidance of fast food can help to prevent this disease. Since time immemorial efforts have been made all over the world to combat the condition through different modalities of treatment, but not all of them have been uniformly successful. Today’s Speaker Dr Nithin kumar, MD(Ayu) PhD, Associate Professor, Post Graduate Department of Shahir Rachna, SDM college of Ayurveda, Udupi, Karnataka discussed in detail about Clinical anatomy & Surgical anatomy of Rectum. Various questions were asked by PG scholars & students of fourth prof. The whole programme was organised by collective efforts of all the faculty members of the department Prof Sudesh Gupta, Prof K Sreedhar, Dr Sukrant sharma & Dr Rahul Gupta from the Post Graduate Department of Shalyatantra, JIAR, Jammu. The department thanks Chairperson of Sri Sain Charitable trust Smt Suman Sharma, all the members of Management, Principal Prof Dr Paramvir Singh, Vice Principal Dr Nitin Mahajan for encouraging staff & students to take part in such activities & providing all necessary facilities for the webinars. The session was concluded by vote of thanks by Dr Sarabjeet Kour, final year PG scholar.
