JIAR organises series of competitions to mark Ayurveda Day

In connection with celebration of Ayurveda Day, Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR), Nardhani, Jammu organised a series of activities on the theme "Ayurveda for Poshan" for women and children, an initiative by Department of Ayush, Government of India.

JIAR today organised a Debate competition on the topic "Concept of Nutrition in Ayurveda versus Modern Science” in the college premises wherein 02 teams participated. Dr. Vikas Gupta ( Professor), Dr. Ashish Mahajan ( Associate Professor) and Dr. Tarun Gupta (Assistant Professor) were the judges for the debate competition.

"Food Festival" and Rangoli Making Competition was also organised by the JIAR toady. In "Food Festival" 13 food stalls were displayed by the students on the theme “Fireless Cooking”. Dr. Megha (Assistant Professor), Dr. Pouse (Assistant Professor), Dr. Karishma Kapoor (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Rahul Gupta (Assistant Professor) acted as judges for the Food Festival Competition.

For Rangoli Making Competition" Dr. Sharada (Principal JIAR), Dr. Vinny Narayan (Assistant Professor), Dr. Manu (Associate Professor) and Dr. Ganesh (Assistant Professor) were the judges.

On 29th of October 2021, JIAR organised a Poster Making competition on the topic "Ayurveda for Poshan" in the college premises in which 21 groups comprising of 05 students each participated. Dr. Raghuvir Singh (Director Academics), Dr. Sharada (Principal JIAR), Dr. Nitin Mahajan (Vice-Principal) were the judges on the occasion.

An Essay Writing competition was organised in the college premises on 30th October 2021 in which 20 students participated. The Essay Writing competition was held on the topic "Diet as per Ritucharya". Dr. Rachin Shivgotra (Associate Professor), Dr. Poonam Gupta (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Shrey Shah (Assistant Professor) were the judges on the occasion.



The series of events to mark Ayurveda Day were organised by the members of Organising Committee of JIAR comprising of members viz Dr. Aabha Sharma (Assistant Professor), Dr. Lakshmi Sameer (Assistant Professor), Dr. Venandana (Assistant Professor), Dr. Namartha Raina (Assistant Professor), Dr. Himani Khajuria (Assistant Professor), Dr. Palvi Dubey (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Ganesh (Assistant Professor).

The whole events were organised under the supervision of Chairperson Shri Sain Charitable Trust, Smt. Suman Sharma, Director Academics, Dr. Raghuvir Singh, Principal JIAR, Dr. Sharada and Vice Principal JIAR and Dr. Nitin Mahajan.
